Tigard

Well known as a shoppers and kayakers paradise, Tigard is bountiful when it comes to recreation! You’ll find golf, bowling, Fanno Creek Trail system, excellent shopping options, the Festival of Balloons and King City, a bedroom portion of Tigard that is regarded as a retirement utopia. Tigard is proudly home to the region’s tax-free shopping destinations, Washington Square mall which is one of the largest in Oregon, and Bridgeport Village, known for it’s highly sought after shopping destinations within an open air ambiance. Tigard is also a community that is devoted to the arts, with the only professional musical theater company in the region.

With outdoor recreation being so appreciated here, many flock to Tigard’s Cook Park which provides access to the Tualatin River offering a calm waterway that is popular with paddlers. The Fanno Creek Greenway Trail and Tualatin River Water Trail connecting Cook Park to Tualatin Community Park. Highlights of this trail are the wetlands, ponds, oak forest and flowered landscape of the Tupling Butterfly Garden. Tigard also features a charming Old Town district known as Main Street, located in Tigard’s downtown. A charming place visitors can pop in and create a glass masterpiece at the area’s only public glass-blowing art studio. A few favorite local restaurants, coffee shop, boutiques and a brewery attracts many to this reinvigorated area of town.
